The labour party are one of the two most prominent political parties in the UK, alongside the Conservative party. Following 14 years of Tory rule, the Labour party seized control of the government with a total number of 411 MPs at the time, during the 4th July 2024 general election.

According to a September 2025 poll by Ipsos, 77% of the British public was dissatisfied with Starmer and his time as Prime Minister, with various wide scale protests against government actions and inactions taking place during his term so far.
